23rd February 2021 seen by Bob Johnson

West End:- 17 nests were active within the heronry; but the white leucistic bird was not seen.  Three of the nests used by Grey Herons last year have Cormorants already sitting in them. This is very early for Cormorants which normally start nesting later.  2 Egyptian Geese were feeding on fields adjacent to the reservoir. Also 2 Buzzards, 1f Sparrowhawk tried her luck at the feeders, 1 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 1m Mandarin, 1 Snipe on Pintail Bank, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Herring Gull, Nuthatch heard.
Feeders:-  Pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a few Goldfinch, among the Blue and Great Tits were 1 Coal Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Long-tailed Tit, couple of Chaffinch and a singing Dunnock.
Whillets:- 1 Kestrel, Green Woodpecker (heard), 2 Wren. A Barn Owl was found dead in the meadows. It appears to have succumbed to the recent cold and wet weather and was very thin.
