30th July 2017 seen by Ringers

Ringing this morning for a few hours in the study area. Of note – 2 Marsh Tit, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Bullfinch, some Chiffchaff and Blackcaps. But best of all was a juvenile Spotted Flycatcher. Silver Washed Fritillary butterfly.
Two Ravens and a juvenile Buzzard calling out all morning. A flock of House Martins over the reservoir and two Kingfishers flying together. Also good views of the Terns fishing right near the hide. Over the last month 3 Kingfishers have been caught; two were together – one adult and one juvenile.
