West End:- 2 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Grey Wagtail, Blackcap heard.

North Bank:- 1 Mediterranean Gull heard, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Swift, 1 Buzzard.  Plants: Dyers Greenweed and Skullcap plants.

Weir Wood:- mid-morning 2 Honey Buzzards over the dam again. Hobby hawking insects. West End:- 2 Little Ringed Plovers and an increase in Lapwings.

Weir Wood:- from dawn, at the West End – 5 Little Egrets, 2 Little-ringed Plovers, 8 Common Terns and many juveniles of various species about. At the dam 2 Green Sandpipers, several Black-headed Gulls, several Swifts and Swallows and 4 Kingfishers.

West End:- 38 Great Crested Grebe (5 nests seen), 2 Little Egret, 12 Grey Heron, 7 Greylag + 1 white hybrid Goose, 33 Canada Geese, 4+8j Egyptian Geese, 26 Mandarin, Buzzard heard, 3 Moorhen, 26 Lapwing, 1 Black-headed Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 8 Common Tern, 2 Stock Dove,

Whillet’s:- Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Garden Warbler and Reed Warbler all heard.  Also Emperor and Downy Emerald Dragonflies, 1 Beautful Demoisellee, 1 Large Red and 15+ Azure Damselflies.   

West End:- 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 23 Lapwings, 1 Little Egret, 2 Kingfisher, 39 Mandarins, 31 Great Crested Grebes, 31 Canada Geese, 9 Greylag Geese, 10 Egyptian Geese including 8 goslings, 1 Pied Wagtail, 8 Common Terns, 4 Black-headed Gulls, 2 Swallow, 4 Moorhens, 1 Bullfinch, 1 Whitethroat.

West End:- 52 Mandarins, 5 Little Ringed Plovers, 21 Lapwings, 1 Little Egret, 19 Grey Heron, 8 Common Terns, 22 Black-headed Gulls, 4 Moorhen, 26 Mallard, 36 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Egyptian Geese, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Kingfisher, 5 Fallow Deer.

Whillet’s:– 1 Collared Dove flyover, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3+1j Reed Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Reed Bunting.  Butterfly count:  1 Red Admiral, 51 Meadow Brown, 2 Ringlet, 1 Speckled Wood, 1 Large White, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, (many Peacock caterpillars seen), 7 Large Skipper, 7 Small Skipper, 2 Common Blue, 2 Painted Lady.

Dragonflies: 1 Black-tailed Skimmer, 1 Emperor, 1 Downy Emerald.  Damselflies: 3 Blue-tailed, 3 White-legged, 1 Large Red,  10+ pairs of Azure also 1 Beautiful Demoiselle.  

West End:- 17 Grey Heron, 8 Greylag, 4 Egyptian Geese, 16 Mandarin Duck, 3 Moorhen, 13 Lapwing, 3 Green Sandpiper, 8 Black-headed Gull, 4 pairs of Common Terns nesting on rafts, 1 Kingfisher, 4 Swallow, 2 House Martin.

Whillet’s:- Butterfly Survey – 40 Meadow Brown, 1 Speckled Wood, 8 Large Skipper, 2 Common Blue, 2 Small Copper. Damselflies – 7 Blue Tailed, 15 Azure and 1 White Legged.

West End:- evening visit 1 Green Sandpiper, 21 Lapwings, 26 Mandarin, 1m Tufted Duck, 4 Egyptian Geese, white Grey Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Little Egret, 6 Common Tern, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Black-headed Gull.
