Dam End:- 1 Little Grebe (lagoon), 6 Canada Geese, 7 white farmyard geese, 5 Pheasant, 165 Black-headed Gull, 1 Common Gull, 2 Herring Gull (+6 flyover), 1 Stock Dove, Green Woodpecker heard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Grey Wagtail, 4 Wren, 12 Fieldfare, 1 Song Thrush, 12 Redwing, 3 Mistle Thrush, 1 Goldcrest, 20+ Jackdaw flyover, 10+ Rook flyover, 5+ Siskin, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 4 Bullfinch.  Also 5 Fallow Deer.
West End:- 3 Little Grebe, 51 Cormorant, 12 Greylag Geese, 3 Greylag/Domestic Geese hybrids, 10 Egyptian Geese, 3m+1f Wigeon, 7m+3f Gadwall, 2m+1f Teal, 1m+3f Tufted Duck, 3 Coot, 1 Snipe, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Nuthatch,  1 Treecreeper.
Whillet’s:- 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 2 Water Rail, 1 Kingfisher, 24 Redwing flyover, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Jay, 2 Raven flyover, 3 Siskin, 1 Bullfinch heard.

I only saw 2 Reed Buntings drop in. Two flocks totalling 200 Starlings flew at treetop height up the valley at 16.30 as the first Tawny Owl called. From 16.00 to about 16.20 whistling of Teal came from the flood north of the river. There were also calls from residents like Great Spotted Woodpecker, Wren and Grey Herons.

West End:- 2 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 37 Cormorant, 5 Grey Heron, 2 Mute Swan, 3 Greylag Geese, 1 Egyptian Goose, 7 White Feral/Domestic Geese, 5 Gadwall, 10 Mallard, 7 Tufted Duck, 1 Moorhen, 2 Coot, 70+ Black-headed Gull, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 2 Magpie.
Whillet’s:- 1 Green Woodpecker.
North Bank:- 2 Kingfisher, 2 Crow.

Dam End:-  9 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Grey Heron, 6 Canada Geese, 1 Egyptian Goose, 2 Mandarin Duck, 7 Mallard, 1 Kestrel, 5 Moorhen, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Pied Wagtail, 9 Fieldfare, 4 Redwing, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush, 23 Rook, 2 Crow, c250 Starling flock seen distantly heading  North.
Dam End Gull Roost – c650 Black-headed Gull, 15 Common Gull, 11 Herring Gull. 

I have received an overseas ringing recovery from the BTO about a Blackcap that was ringed as a 1st-year bird on 12 August 2021 in Whillets. The bird was captured exactly a month later at Saint-Froult, Charente-Maritime, France having travelled 583km. The bird was noted to be displaying it’s black cap having moulted it’s juvenile brown cap.
