Members Walk – Autumn Wildlife & Whillet’s Roosting Birds
Saturday 6th November.

We are offering Members an Autumn afternoon guided walk. We will start in the study area and look for fungi before going to Whillet’s meadows at about 3pm. By that time we hope to see the first Reed Buntings and Redwings coming in to roost (sunset will be at 16:25). Our bird ringers intend to put out nets to catch birds you will be able to see in the hand.
NOTE – ringing will depend on the weather; please check our website the night before where we will predict if the weather looks suitable. The walk will go ahead even if the ringing can’t.
Meet at the hide Car Park at 2pm. Paths are likely to be muddy so wear stout footwear/wellingtons. No need to book just turn up.
