Dam End:- 25 Sand Martins, 1 Little Egret, 1 Lapwing, 2 Grey Wagtails, 3 Chiffchaffs, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap.

West End:- 45+ Black-headed Gull, 9 Cormorant, Great Tit, 100 Greylag Goose, 5 Lapwing, 25 Mallard, 3 Swallow, Blue Tit, 57 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Grey Heron, Kingfisher, Little Egret, Mute Swan, 6 Woodpigeon.

Dam End:- 1 Black Tern, 1 Little Egret, 2 Mute Swan, 8 Grey Heron, 63 Canada Geese, 1 Moorhen, 1 Lapwing, 80+ Black-headed Gull, 10+ Sand Martin, 100+ mixed flock of House Martins & Swallows.
West End:- 1 Great White Egret, 1 Little Egret, 152 Greylag, 1 Mandarin, 48 Mallard, 5 Lapwing, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Kingfisher.

Dam End:- 2 Black Terns, 1 Swift, 1 Little Egret, 1 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Kestrel.
West End:- 2 Mute Swan, 2 Moorhen, 1 Teal, 6 Lapwing.
Whillet’s:- 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Whitethroats, 4 Blackcap, 1 Reed Bunting, 5 Bullfinch, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Fox.

Ringing late Saturday afternoon in the study area proved to be an interesting afternoon. In particular a number of  Chiffchaff were showing various stages of juvenile moult. Other warblers included: Reed Warbler, Willow Warbler and Blackcap. Also saw 2 juvenile Marsh Tit.

Dam End:- 1 Grasshopper Warbler briefly seen in Meadow Sweet, 6 Chiffchaff, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Grey Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtail, 7 Blackcap, 2 Marsh Tit, 100 House Martins, 2 Kestrel.
West End:- 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Little Egret, 1 Sand Martin, 1 Lapwing, 4 Mandarin, 2 Chiffchaff.
Whillet’s:- 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Reed Warblers, 1 Garden Warbler, 4 Blackcap, 4 Whitethroats, 1 Reed Bunting.

The ringing session this morning, before the rain arrived, was slow. There were a number of Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler around. Birds of note:– Reed Warbler, Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler and Blackcap.
Other birds observed:– Sand Martin and Swallow in numbers passing through, Marsh Tit which appear to have had a good breeding season.

Whillet’s:- 1 Garden Warbler, 14 Blackcap, 3 Whitethroats, 4 Bullfinch including 2 juvs & 4 Chiffchaffs feeding on black and elder berries, 3 Reed Buntings, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Long-tailed Tit, 40 Goldfinch, 25 Swallows, 50 House Martins, 18 Speckled Woods, 2 Holly Blues, 12 Migrant Hawkers, 3 Southern Hawkers, 2 Common Darters, 2 Blue-tailed Damselfly, 1 Toad, 1 Pygmy Shrew.
West End:- 1 Great White Egret.

Whillet’s:- Water Rail in Reed Bed, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 5 Bullfinch including 2 juvs, 35 House Martins, 55 Goldfinch, 15 Mistle Thrush flew east, 3 Reed Buntings, 9 Chiffchaff, 11 Blackcap, 2 Whitethroats, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Jay, 1 Goldcrest.
West End:- 1 Great White Egret, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Green Sandpiper, 4 Swallows.
Dam End:- 1 Little Egret, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Mute Swan, 1 Chiffchaff.
